Service to the Federation
Tal Ercrow began his Trade Federation career in the Department of Logistics. As with many Trade Federation recruits, Tal Ercrow began his career in the Department of Logistics. In his early days he served on Flight Team 'The Devas' with Jas Nightblade and Kopljanik Despotovic under Morga Deva. It was during his service with The Devas (and later, Team Pathfinders) that Ercrow distinguished himself as a friendly, energetic and reliable pilot that could be counted on no matter the situation. It was also during these early months that he earned his nickname, Talshroom, from Morga deva on account of the uncanny resemblance between his face and a mushroom. His positive demeanor, engaging personality and penchant for constant mission and pilot plotter updates endeared him to DoL leadership and fellow pilots alike, and these qualities allowed him to become one of the first non-flight leads to earn a Personnel Transport License. Even after he began working for the Department of Culture, Ercrow continued to help with some logistics endeavors.
Ercrow was a significant member of the Department of Culture, particularly in the DoC's publication, the Confederate Ledger. He contributed to the first thirteen issues of the Ledger, and | issue 14 featured a tribute to him upon his retirement. Ercrow started in the DoC as a reporter alongside Dominic Masters and Ashley Perkins. He was noteworthy in writing prompt and relevant articles, taking part in brainstorming sessions, and helping with editing. He quickly ascended the ranks and eventually became Editor-in-Chief. Ercrow pushed reporters to stick to deadlines and improve their writing. Under his watch, the Confederate Ledger grew in prominence and quality.
In Year 11, Ercrow resigned his post to spend more time with his famil on Neimoidia, and he is still held in very high esteem by the DoC and the entire Trade Federation.
Ercrow Star
On Year 11, Day 326, Viceroy Jacob Jansen inaugurated the Ercrow Star, a medal named after Ercrow honoring all those that have shown extreme dedication to the Confederate Ledger. Marcus Justinian, Mathias Skylancer, Dak Ironfist, Dominic Masters, Jas Nightblade, Kage Renbukai, Xavier Hood, Zanthea Zorg and Tal Ercrow were the first recipients of the medal.
