Dorinian Military Corps

The Dorinian Military Corps also known as the Department of Robotics is the droid production arm of the Trade Federation and considered to many the most successful droid manufacture in the galaxy.

Dorinian Military Corps is the producer of a number of high quality droids in addition to producing the highest quality military droids. Some of their products include the B-1 Battle Droid, Destroyer Droid, B-2 Battle Droid (aka the Super Battle Droid), the Pit Droid, the 2X-3KPR and finally the R1 Astromech droid.

The Beginning

Dorinian Military Corps was established many centuries ago when the planet of Dorin and it's inhabitants lived in a time of peace and prosperity. Though, the planet of Dorin was struck hard as an event known as the Great Conflict spread over the planet over an argument of the rightful heir to the Dorin throne. The Talmon family sought for their biologically rightful heir to be placed as monarch over Dorin, yet Barkos Talmon, the monarch of that time, lawfully gave the throne to his other son, Jaala Koon. The hardest hit came several hundred years later, when Talmon loyalists stormed the palace and killed Nekoda Koon, ruler of that period, reclaiming the throne for themselves. The Talmon family gained support and aid from the Trade Federation, who saw the growing droid industry on Dorin as a possible threat. The Talmon's ruled with a harsh fist, striking down all opposition. Dorin's economy hit bottom as the planet remained in chaos.

Though,[Vel Koon, ex-Jedi Master and heir of Nekoda, returned to Dorin with a group of loyal Kel Dor and stirred up a resistance group with the Kel Dor population. The Trade Federation, after being betrayed by the Talmons and seeking to right the wrongs of their past, provided the resistance movement with a great amount of financial aid as well as a hardy stock of Battle Droids. Through a series of hit-and-fade battles and gaining Kel Dor support, Vel Koon and his band were successful in overthrowing the tyrannical Talmon family. Thus, peace and order was restored to the wondrous world.

Vel Koon then remained on the planet of Dorin, helping to rebuild what was lost. The first successful re-established company was the Dorinian Military Corps. Dorin manufactured goods are highly sought out in the universe, so the company quickly rose to its original standards.

After its initial glory days the company fell into decline. Through the tiresome efforts of Jaris Spades, he recruited two crucial members Cypher Diaz and the Jeffrey Gordon. With the new blood Jaris was able to save the wavering faction from bankruptcy and dissolution. As time passed little progress was made and the hierarchy of the company was in shambles. A new leader Lanfear Zenya took the challenge and set up an infrastructure and a pay scale and divided the company into departments. Plans were laid to build a massive construction complex, yet the plans were soon abandoned as Lanfear became more paranoid not trusting her loyal members.

Jeeva Ob took the position of CEO and finished what Lanfear had started. She began a massive recruitment program, which recruited some of the best in the galaxy including Rand Axim and Deku Rune, who would both become directors of Dorinian Military Corps. Jeeva recruited tons of new members creating the stable faction that is seen today. She launched a massive campaign called the Dorinian Initiative, which allowed DMC to regain its Cultural ties with the Kel Dor and established the Guardians of Dorin which protect the Dorin system. With the leadership skills of Jeeva Ob who put her own assets into the faction she was able to lay down Xemtenta the main production complex of DMC and Corentia the Capital city of Dorinian Military Corps. Although most of it were good times of prosperity a sad moment was marked when long time loyal director Jeffrey Gordon died of a mysterious disease. In the end Jeeva did not intend to stay in the long run and passed the CEO title to Cypher Diaz. Deku Rune continued Jeeva's work and ordered the construction of many DMC outposts all over the galaxy, which has made DMC very prosperous.

Cultural Exploration

Under Deku Rune's leadership and the leadership of others during this period, the DMC began a rebirth in its culture. DMC pioneered efforts with the Droid Council during these times to bring a stability to the prices of droids across the galaxy. Also, the history and arts of Dorin experienced a renaissance within Glythe and back in Fakir. The DMC instituted many security precautions to protect their assets in two galactically diverse areas. In Fakir, the Guardians of Dorin resurged into the primary lines of defense for the Kel Dor residents under the command of Drega Loas.

The Betrayal

When Deku Rune stepped away from the command of the DMC to explore other opportunities within the CIS, the command of the DMC was placed solely on Drega Loas. During his command, the DMC began to isolate itself from the remainder of the Confederacy and tried to work autonomously. The Viceroy and his competent staff in the Ministry of the Interior worked diligently to navigate the DMC back to her role within the Confederacy but Drega proved obstinate. After countless quarrels, Drega left the command position at the DMC but his influence and treason did not end there. His departure left the DMC command structure in disarray, none of his directors could adequately control the reins of a extensively productive droid operation. The bickering and squabbling eventually escolated into treason with am embezzlement plot implicating the former CEO and six others.

Rand Axim, Setsuna Sena, and Jeeva Ob returned to the DMC to bring it back on course. Under their watchful eye, the DMC is restructuring and continuing to produce the droids you fear and bring back trust in the company.

The Rising

Duchess Jeeva Ob and Chief Drangor Danzar led a team of capable members to secure the Corps and her holdings. Directors Candie Dorland and Treve Dorland along with Svith Condra, were great assets in securing Telti and Dorin space and moving materials through the splintered space.

Their efforts paved the way for the Corps and Director Darius Tamen to get production once again online and the droids flowing to the masses. This era also saw the emergence of the DMC to droid sales on the Trade Federation Market. Sales there bolstered the Corps’ finances and led for even grander projects of acquisition and expansion.

With the transfer of command to the experienced hands of Director Daniel Zorg and his capable staff, the Corps' status as the premier droid producer of the galaxy has never been stronger. In just months the Corps' production centers have risen to the peak of droid production, leading to the DMC opening its sales to private individuals across the galaxy.

After the official resignation of Director Zorg, the Dorinian Military Corps, now also known as the Department of Robotics, was entrusted to long-time member and experienced Droid Engineer Shaidar Haran. Under his leadership the Corps, after a period of only taking orders by the Trade Federation, re-opened their sales to the open public. Special discounts are offered for any citizen of the Trade Federation, it's NATs and Protectorates, as well as to members of the Imperial Union. Director Haran and his Second-In-Command Robert Thorp, lead the Corps into a new age of prosperity, maintaining its reputation as the best droid manufacturer in the known Galaxy.

On year 17 Day 177 Ustar Alard was appointed as Chief Executive Officer for Dorinian Military Corps by Deputy Minister Ted Winner.
