Jacob Jansen is the current Duceroy of the Trade Federation. Assuming the role of Centauri Tyridius after his resignation. Jacob is a hard-working and loyal member of the Confederacy of Independant Systems and a man loved inside, and outside of the Trade Federation.

Young Life
Youth
Jacob Jansen was born on his home planet of Hapes. Since he was a little boy, he disliked how his people were so isolated. He wanted nothing but to escape and explore the galaxy.
At the age of 20, he did what he always wanted, he left the Hapes Cluster looking for work. It did not take very long for Jacob to find the Glythe Sector. The Glythe Sector was controlled by the Trade Federation and lies directly next to the Hapes Cluster.
Joining the Federation
Jacob quickly joined the Trade Federation looking to be part of the well respected Government of Trade. His natural leadership abilities and military training quickly moved him up the ranks of the Federation Navy to where he was commanding the largest of its ships.
Assisting the CIS
Corporate Alliance
Some time later the Corporate Alliance, member in the Confederacy of Independent Systems was in need for a trustworthy member to lead its Logistics Department. Taking up the challenge, Jacob left the Trade Federation and moved into the Corporate Alliance as its Logistics Director. Jacob continued to serve them as loyally as he had the Trade Federation. His exceptional skills quickly secured him the position of Vice President.
Trade Federation
The Trade Federation meanwhile, had changed drastically in the two months he was absent. They found need to summon him back. Turning down the position of President, Jacob left the Corporate Alliance and returned to the Trade Federation as Minister of the Interior. A newly formed Ministry consisting of Logistics and Industry. For some time, Jacob served the Trade Federation as a Minister and member of the Cabinet.
Techno Union
Meanwhile, the Techno Union began to suffer from a slack leadership. Jacob volunteered to transfer over and try to establish a stronger, more efficient, leadership. The Viceroy accepted Jacob's offer. Jacob was moved over as its newly assigned President. Jacob would still hold his title of Minister of the Interior while working for the Techno Union.
Duceroyship
After establishing leadership in the Techno Union, Jacob returned to the Trade Federation, which was again in need of him. Duceroy Tyridius had resigned, and Jacob was nominated by the Cabinet to resume his position. Jacob accepted, promoting Rand Axim to Minister of the Interior in his place, and taking the title of Duceroy.
Jacob still holds this position today.
