History
The Early Days
Vas Felix was not born. He was spawned.
Not much is known about his shrouded past. Few have ever seen him longer than a few moments, and even fewer know him for who he is.
It is understood that in 47 BBY, an unknown permutation in the hyperspace continuum of the Unknown Regions sprung, swallowing a Lictor class Dungeon ship and damaging the hull beyond repair. The ship’s wreck exited in the Glythe sector, where a Trade Federation Lucrehulk discovered all inmates and crew had disappeared. The Lucrehulk picked up another life form, unclassified by all life form scanners. Unknown in this universe, a small man-child bright red in color with nubs of horns and a forked tail and piercing yellow eyes was found. Logs recorded by the Lucrehulk’s crew stated that the strange man-child bore some resemblance to a Devaronian. Unnamed and unfathomable, he grew up in the restricted areas of a TF Biological Research Institute. He was a sheer curiosity to researchers, who tried to understand his anatomy but to no avail.
Growing Up
After a visit by the Cabinet, he was adopted by the current Duceroy, a Devaronian himself. The Duceroy taught him the ways of the Federation, while 'Vas' (the researchers called him Vas as it was the first thing he said when he finally spoke) kept growing and growing. After some twenty years Vas stood 2.4 mts tall, was 2 pick-handles across the shoulders he weighed in at 150 kg of pure muscle and always smelled faintly of brimstone.
Vas Felix, taking on the surname of his adoptive father, had a knack for being able to repair or modify all things mechanical. While at first only dismantling and reassemling damaged droids to as new or better condition than new, he soon moved onto ships and the same intuitive ability to repair and modify became apparent . Vas was talented in any situation. He was eventually offered a position as a mechanic for the now defunct Starsign Shipyards, a position in which he excelled at. He could build a ship in the time of a dozen men. His prowess was acknowledged by the Starsign Shipyards COO (Olwin Froon), who promoted Vas to Director of Logistics then later COO when the position fell vacant.
Onwards and Upwards
In time Vas was installed as CEO of Starsign Shipyards and continued in this position honing his managerial skills. Soon after Vas left SSY and took up the position of COO at Techno Union under the tutelage of CEO Olwin Froon. With the merger of The TF Nats Olwin Froon was offered the top job in the newly formed Ministry of Production and Vas was offered and accepted by the Trade Federation Cabinet as CEO of Techno Union to oversee the continued production and expansion of the mighty Trade Federation Fleet. He was soon appointed to the Cabinet as the Minister of Production, a position he held for two years and was replaced by Salamku Derov on Year 14 Day 108 when he retired. On Year 15 Day 255 Vas returned to active duty and was appointed as the Director of Robotics.
Personality
Vas is often described as a likeably gruff person with much panache and witty humor in his attitude. He is easily angered by the (often defective) gadgets he uses, but has a genuinely good heart and love for other humans, despite his otherworld origins. A living conundrum, Vas is a force for good, with an iron will and a desire to do the right thing. He has continuously stated his disinterest in his supposed ‘purpose,’ and tries to hide his conflicted feelings beneath the wisecracking facade of an adventurous tough-guy who would just as soon knock back a cold beer and light a rollie, than battle those not of Trade Federation and allies . He is currently on a mission to discover his origins and how to stop his impending ‘destiny’…
Known Powers and Abilities
Vas's superhuman abilities would seem to stem from his demonic nature. While his specific powers and abilities have never been explicitly deciphered, Vas is much stronger and more physically durable than an ordinary human type being.
He can be burned and damaged like any living thing, but he is possessed of a "healing factor" that allows him to recover from wounds at an incredible rate. Vas has been noted to be able to see farther than the normal human, and quickly heal from fatal wounds. One example of this was when he, once, took a lightsaber thrust through his chest and out his back. He also has the innate ability to comprehend ancient and esoteric languages.
He has been savagely beaten by large sentient beings on several occasions and survived, often with relatively minor injuries. On one occasion, Vas directly charged an EWHB-10 and took numerous bullets to the chest before destroying the gun. The extent of Vas's strength is unclear, but he has, for example, torn down a large tree and hurled it at an opponent. He has also thrown opponents weighing at least four to five hundred pounds.
Vas also seems to age differently from normal Humans. At the time that young Vas tried his favorite food, “pancakes” for the first time, he was technically two years old but appeared to be far older, around age six. In 57 BBY he already appeared to be a full grown adult, but was in reality about ten years old. His rapid physical maturation is in contrast to his mental rate of aging, which seems to be much more intuitive than normal. Throughout the Forty Seven year span of his life to date, Vas seems to have ceased to age ever since reaching physical maturity.
In addition to his natural gifts, Vas carries a variety of items, such as holy relics, horseshoes, and herbs in his utility belt, as well as a variety of grenades and other demolition tools; these often come in handy when fighting *the galaxies rabble rousers*. He commonly carries an oversized club, known as the “Blunt Stick”, which Vas himself decribes as “his little piece of home.” This specially-prepared club is hollow, and contain silver shavings, holy water, cloves, etc. to ensure the weapon's effectiveness against supernatural creatures. The club was fashioned from a fragment of unknown material that was found near where Vas arrived in this Galaxy
It should be noted though that Vas is, by his own admission, a lousy shot; so he prefers to “mix it up” in hand-to-hand or hand to club combat whenever possible.
