Lant Mining Corporation was a mining corporation. This corporation was part of the Confederacy of Independent Systems when Horley Cyan was able to purchase it. Recently merged with the Commerce Guild under the leadership of Jetsi Seejay on Day 8 Year 340.
History
Lant Mining Corporation is one of the oldest Mining Corporations around today. It was founded by Darman Lant in the days of the Old Republic. Lant Mining Corporation started it's operations within the boundries of Brak Sector. With permission of the Old Republic to begin operation there, Lant started to mine the sector. By the time Darman Lant decided to retire, over 60 mining operations were happening all over the sector. Darman Lant left Koz Ofyurdeth in charge of the faction when he retired. Koz took over the faction and began to expand operations, with many of which were in Elom. Koz eventually left Lant's leadership position and created the Invisible Army. Lant Mining Corporation took charge as an Invisible Army Nationalized Faction. Lant now covered Brak Sector, providing materials to Cybot Galactica, Aratech, and Wetwork Designs.
However, on Year 7, Day 235, the faction was put up for sale because of problems within the Invisible Army. Chancellor Isoldor Storm of The 12 Colonies bought the faction, along with it's partner in production, Wetwork Designs. Under Chancellor Storm's Command, Lant Mining Corporation began to remodel it's interior structure, during this period of change it was decided that Lant Mining although a great organization just wouldn't fit within the corporate structure of The 12 Colonies and was thus sold to businessman Horley Cyan, a friend and sometimes business associate. It's operations from Brak were transferred over to the mining organization of Storm One Mining and thus Horley decided to take Lant Mining Corporation into the next era of prosperous business by appointing Darius Tamen as leader and administrator. Affordability, Assortment, Assurance, the prinicples from the past that are still being observed today within Lant Mining Corporation. The last leader of the faction was Taldar Logas
