Description

Like Hassaria, the vast open plains and geothermal pockets of Hassaria II allow for high yielding crop productions and a steady global temperature. The localization of the geothermal pockets near the planet's southern body of water creates boiling temperatures in portions of the sea, leading to higher than average rainfall in the planets southern hemisphere. This allows for the cultivation of crops that thrive on heavy rainfall, creating diversity in the planet's exports.

The sea is also of recreational interest to both the planet’s natives and its visitors. Portions of the salty water near the boiling points are highly sought after bathing spots and touted by some to have rejuvenating properties.

The large amount geothermal energy on Hassaria II have led to the cultivation and study of alternative energies and natural gases, and as a by-product the creation of the Geothermic Institute of Renewable Energies. Research from the GIRE has directly contributed to the infrastructure of Hassaria II, running almost 80% of the planet’s energy needs off of self-sustaining natural gas. Though not nearly as large as the planet’s food profits, excess natural gas accounts for as much as 20% of the planet’s exports. The gas is stored and sold to the Trade Federation to supplement their energy needs and used mainly as a portable source of energy for small outposts and expeditions.

As technologically advanced as the planet is, tradition also plays a major role in the culture and infrastructure of Hassaria II. The House Arkoh Museum of History and Natural Science rests partially hidden in Hassaria II's northern forests. Built in traditional Massassi style the architectural innovation of the museum is almost as appealing as the artifacts displayed inside.

Employment levels are similar to Hassaria with decreases in the need for labor during the short off seasons. Demographics for Hassaria II tend to be younger than average, with the hot springs, the GIRE, and the museum drawing in a large portion of students and apprentices for work and study.

Hassaria II (6,1)-The Junction

The Junction is beautiful settlement with the ocean on two side and stunning grasslands on the other two. The settlement will leave you breathless with it's beautiful buildings and the teeming streets full of people of all species. Recently Corellian refugees have been flocking to the settlement after hearing of Count Drea's Connection and love of Corellian Traditions but also because the settlement is still growing and provides new jobs and a better life for people of all kinds. The Settlement is not completely urban or rural it's leaning towards urban and is seemingly heading that way.

The settlement has became more modernized after the Count started the Urban environment program. The program was main objective is to push the settlement into a new era through the improvement of current settlement and new additions like a new Space port, Shipyard, a Palace and most importantly a new power system. The old power system was outdated and needed to be constantly repaired. The Settlement's new solar power plant is currently under construction and the official opening is still unknown.

The most visible change to the Junction would have to be the heightened military presence and since Count Drea recently opened the Royal Arkoh Training Academy which teaches basic military education and specializes in Ranger, Pathfinder and Intelligence careers and military tactics. The Academy is at the bottom of a hill being over looked by the Drea Palace. The hill below the Palace is an underground military base which is currently run by droids and supervised by Dr.Hanna Greyson and will eventually be manned the first batch of Troops to graduate the academy and are set to be ready for duty as of Y17 D340 and will become the First official members of the Junction Guard which will usher the Settlement into a era of enlightenment and hopefully forge a new future for the population and all Arkanians and sentient beings alike.

Hassaria II (4,4) Seko

is considered by many who visit the planet to be an urban oasis compared to the rest of the planets plains and jungles. Outside this city therein lies dangers from Hassaria II's natural predators but on the inside a vast wealth of knowledge and experience is held. Aside from the Museum held deep within the city, the Massassi Military Academy also resides here with the intentions of providing no distractions and a perfectly controlled training environment.

Outside of the official business however, you would find the same underworld found on most planets and large metropolitan cities. A lack of laws regulating local wildlife makes this planet a treasure trove for hunters. It's because of this that this city, in the middle of the vast plains and forests expanding every direction around it, has found itself as the home of many travelers on their latest hunt. It is rumored to be commonplace to see Arkanian royalty and staff prodding around, honing their skills in the region. Regardless, the city in all of its versatile ways is a sight for any traveler who enters.
