Background
The city of Forestti serves as the Trade Federation's capital, nestled on the lush planet of Taanab, on the peninsula of Forsetti, located within the heart of Trade Federation controlled space. Taanab, remains a relatively untouched world, with most of its natural splendor worked into the structures built within the city, enhancing the cities already eye dazzling public works. Home to the Trade Federation seats of power, Forsetti is divided into several districts, consisting of the Viceroyal Palace district, which boasts an undisclosed amount of military hardware and personnel in the event of an attack; four residential districts; a religious district; and two commercial districts. The Viceroyal Palace, has been the residence & seat of governmental offices since Viceroy Corbin Esco, and has remained the seat of power and symbol of propserity for the Trade Federation throughout the galaxy. To ensure security and privacy for the viceroy and the dignitaries, entrance to the Viceroyal Palace is limited to official visitors and Cabinet Members, when official duties require them to convene within its halls.Notable Sites
Memorial Wall
Nestled in a place of honor in the parks between the palace and the capitol building, the wall of honor stands thirty meters high and fifty meters long. Its polished surface is inscribed with the names of those members of the Ministry of Defense who were killed in the line of duty. The dazzling white rock represents the devotion and integrity of those who serve the Federation, and it was donated by a local quarry. The monument is surrounded by parks and fountains dedicated to the founding principles of Trade Federation and its Regents. It is one of the most popular monuments in the whole system, attracting nearly twenty five mission sentients a year.
Walk of Monuments
The Walk of Monuments bisects the city, separating the temple district from the other sections of Forsetti. The roads and walking paths are decorated with five meter tall golden statues of each of the Federation's viceroys and fountains dedicated to its regents and other notable leaders. The parks of the Walk of Monuments are popularly held as some of the most beautiful on the planet. Other smaller monuments dot the paths engraved with sayings of the viceroys and passages from important speeches or documents, and many plaques and monoliths commemorating battles and historic events in the Federation's history.
Trade Federation Library
The Library of the Trade Federation is the fifth-largest building in the city, and is the largest library in Federation's Northern Territories. The library employs over one hundred sentients and over six hundred droids who manage, curate, and preserve the collections, acquire new materials, and assist the many researchers who come to the library often. Among the library's collections are the official Federation's archives, a full collection of the Federation's laws, and one of the largest collections of art in the galaxy. Some of its pieces predate the founding of the Old Republic. Although special permission is required to access the restricted sections, all citizens invited to take a tour and avail themselves of the public collections.
Religious Buildings
The southernmost district of Forsetti is dedicated two four religious buildings. Most prominent are the three large temples, each dedicated to a principle of the Trade Federation: Honor, Integrity, and Profit. Each temple soars towards the sky and have been designed in a way to exemplify the virtue to which it is dedicated. While they each differ in architecture, they each make extensive use of natural light and seek to inspire awe in their visitors. The temples are not under the authority of any one religion, but host services of all major religions authorized in Federation-controlled space. They also service as meeting places for more secular ceremonies of state.
Between the temples and the Walk of Monuments lies the Sanctuary of the Evocati. Because admittance to the sanctuary is restricted to Evocati members, who are all sworn to secrecy regarding matters of the Order, little is known about the function or interior of the building itself. From the outside it appears as a smaller version of the three greater temples.
