History
Dev started off in the galaxy as a member of the Rebel Alliance Navy. Soon tiring of standing at a post as opposed to seeing the galaxy, Dev joined Nebular as an explorer. Eventually, though, long trips in hyperspace lost their novelty. Looking for a bit of excitement, Dev Nul joined the Black Sun Navy, at that time under the command of Corbin Esco. Finding Corbin's leadership worth following, Dev followed him to the Trade Federation when Corbin became Viceroy. After the retirement of Jack Ryan, Dev Nul became Chief of Security of the Trade Federation. He held the position for many years, right through the Federation's transition from company to government, when his title was changed to Secretary of Defense.
Commerce Guild
With the creation of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Trade Federation founded many new member factions, and competent leaders were needed to lead them. When Nereus Eruresto announced the rebirth of the Commerce Guild on Year 5 Day 199, Dev Nul was appointed its first President. Joining him was his friend Kurner Dahtar, who came aboard as an advisor and brought with him a band of veteran JUGANOTH miners. Together the two built the Guild into the premier mining faction of its day.
Once the Commerce Guild was on its feet, Dev handed the reins to Kurner, who led the Guild through an era of unprecedented growth. Dev then rejoined the Trade Federation as Duceroy.
Interim Viceroy
When Viceroy Corbin Esco stepped down to take an extended leave of absence, a new Viceroy was needed. In the months between official Viceroys, Dev Nul served as interim Viceroy. Once Horley Cyan was elected Viceroy, Dev and several of his comrades decided that, after their many years in the Trade Federation, it was time to retire and live it up.
And thusly, Dev Nul became the first Pimproy in the galaxy, pimping the galaxy piece by piece, day by day.
Lord General of the Droid Armies
It was inevitable, though, that the Empire would eventually try to break the Trade Federation's neutrality and seize the Glythe Sector. The Empire tried to strong-arm the Trade Federation into submission, but the newly returned Viceroy Corbin Esco refused to be pushed over, and the Empire declared war on the Trade Federation. Returning to service as Lord General of the Droid Armies, Dev Nul once more took up his place in the defense of the Federation.
After the Empire's defeat at the hands of the Trade Federation at the Battle of Corthor, and its loss of all meaningful grip on the Glythe Sector, Dev Nul returned to retirement.
The Order of Kampar
Something was missing, though. The Trade Federation had for many years been his home and his reason for being a part of the galaxy, and in retirement Dev found himself without a purpose. Never one to sit idle, he went in search of inner peace. Shortly after his search began, he stumbled across The Order of Kampar. After reading through the uncovered scrolls of Kampar and asking many questions of the prophets who guide the Order, Dev came to realise that Kampar is more a relationship with Kampar himself, and a way of life, than a religion in the traditional sense. This appealed to Dev, who had always been anything but conventional. He joined the ranks of the Order of Kampar and soon rose to the position of Deacon. Now working on the Trials of Brotherhood, Dev hopes to one day stand among the Prophets of Kampar and lead others to the truth and peace he has attained.
