History

Early Life

Han Ethan, the son of 1st Admiral Anders Ethan and Kira Ethan, was born on the Mon Calamari Navy ship MCS Honor. Han grew up in space. Since his father was a high ranking naval officer for the Planet Dac, Han spent little time on land. As a young child Han was a naturally curious boy and was constantly exploring the ship or visiting the ship's library. Han was fascinated with starships and naval battles. Han constantly studied naval tactics and how ships worked. Han had a dream to one day lead a fleet just like his father.

Tragedy on the MCS Honor

One day when Han was ten years old the MCS Honor was tasked with scouting an asteroid belt for possible resources to use. The Mon Calamari Navy only sent one ship, the MCS Honor, for this scouting mission, not wanting to attract the attention of larger governments such as the Galactic Empire or the New Republic to the area. As the ship approached the asteroid belt they were suddenly ambushed by a fleet of pirates. The pirate fleet outnumbered and outgunned the MCS Honor and the ship quickly lost engines and was boarded by the pirates. As battle ensued on the decks of the ship, Han went to find his father on the bridge. When Han arrived he saw his father lying in a pool of blood with a large Trandoshan standing over him with a bloody sword. As Han was about to scream in fear his mother quickly grabbed him and brought him to an escape pod. His mother put him into the last escape pod and quickly launched it, trapping herself aboard the exploding ship. Han was now alone.

Teenage Years

The escape pod was recovered by a Mon Cala transport ship days later and Han was sent to an orphanage set up by the Mon Calamari Society, an intergalactic group of Mon Calamari devoted to helping other members of their race. Han was soon adopted by Jiro Daren, a Mon Cal Society council member who was impressed by the young man’s fierce determinations and love of knowledge. Jiro taught Han many things - how to use a blaster, how to be a leader, and when he was old enough, how to fly a starship. Han loved piloting starships. As often as he could he would fly around Dac running deliveries for Jiro or working part-time for a small logistics company. Han soon became fascinated with being in space, he loved looking at the stars and visiting other planets that were completely different than what he knew.

Joining the Trade Federation

When Han turned 17 he decided he no longer wanted to burden Jiro and wanted to start a life of his own. Han heard that the Trade Federation was taking in new recruits to fly for the Department of Logistics (DoL). Han hoped that he could work his way through the ranks and eventually transfer to the Ministry of Defense and follow in his father's footsteps. He went to a TF recruitment office and joined the Federation.

Early Logistics Career

Han worked for the Department of Logistics doing what he loved. He was given food, shelter, and good wages for flying missions to keep the Federation running. Han quickly found that the members of the Trade Federation were among the most helpful and friendly people in the galaxy.

Flight Lead Officer

After a little over a year in the DoL Han was offered a position to lead a Flight Team. His team, the HE-Men, was a great group of pilots ready to do whatever needed doing.

Transfer to Ministry of Defense

Han's time as a Flight Lead Officer was short lived because a few months later Han applied for the position of Fleet Commander of the Trade Federation's 2nd Defense Fleet. Han got the job as the new Fleet Commander and achieved his dream of leading a fleet of his own.

Department of Admissions Work

Han also works in the Department of Admissions, starting out as the recruitment message sender Han is now a Recruitment Officer.
