Mas Rarraf is the current Minister of Defence for the Trade Federation. Mas has had a passion for Navy work since he was young, learning to fly from an early age. Although he is not well-known throughout the galaxy, he is a loyal and hardworking member of the Trade Federation.

Young Life
Mas Rarraf is the only son of wealthy Corellian holonet star, Kenneth Rarraf.
Because he was his fathers only child, Mas was often spoilt. Although this proved to be great when he was younger, in his teenage years he realised it was truly a curse. Never allowed to leave the planet by himself or join any upcoming Factions or Guilds, he became very lonely, and was in desperate need of some adventure.
Blessing in Disguise
When Mas was 18, he and his father were out on a familiar trip around the Galaxy, which they did almost every year, when without warning they were attacked by pirates. Although Kenneth tried to fight them off, the pirates shot Mas's father to death. Mas's constant empty threats and insults (which saved his life) earned him a different choice for death. To stay on the ship while the pirates bombarded it from outside. That is what happened. About 2 minutes into the bombardment, the pirates hit a fuel tank, and the whole ship blew apart. The pirates, thinking they had killed the boy, left.
Mas however, was not sitting in the ship waiting for death. He had seated himself inside the broken Escape Pod, with all the supplies on the ship. The fuel tank's explosion fused the door shut, and Mas floated gently away into space.
Missing
The Academy
Mas went missing. He wasn't heard of for the next few year Enrolling at a Space Command Academy on a small planet in the Outer Rim, Mas learnt the skills he would use countless times in his life. He learnt to fly, and to fight. He excelled at piloting Capital Ships. This was also where he met his wife Kaymora.
Smuggling Career
Mas and Kaymora started a small smuggling company. Mas flew the cargo, Kaymora did the numbers. They were an amazing team. Just as Mas was beginning to think his life couldn't get any better, it got much worse.
During a routine transport job, his ship was attacked by Pirates. This time it ended differently. Mas cold-heartedly murdered the pirates, and somehow managed to break his leg doing so. He was out of the job for a few months.
During these few months, his wife took up the smuggling career. She however, was nowhere near as skilled at piloting as Mas, and she was caught by the Empire. Her ship was destroyed and she was killed.
Mas was a wreck. He had lost everything that had mattered to him. He spent the next few years as a homeless drunk, littering the streets of Coruscant.
Salvation
While begging one day, he noticed an officer from the Invisible Army on a mission. The officer was well-groomed and disciplined. Mas had a new mission. Become a Naval Officer.
He cut his hair, shaved his beard, bought some proper clothes with his emergency credits, and headed to a tavern for a final drink.
Invisible Army
Capital Ship Division
Mas was accepted into the Invisible Army, and was immediately assigned to working with Capital Ships. While working in the transport division, he revealed his passion for Navy work to the Militia CO, Cruge Solo.
Cruge transferred him to the Navy, where he established strong friendships with the other pilots. Proving his worth, he was promoted to Capital Ship Division CO, where he lead the division. Structuring it into the most efficient division of the IA Navy.
King Koz
One evening, a few weeks before the Invisible Army's dissolution, Mas was having a heated discussion with King Koz. The discussion soon changed to loyalty, and Mas' was brought into question. After a long discussion, Mas felt the need to resign from his position, and leave the Invisible Army immediately.
Joining the Federation
Centauri
While fleeing the Invisible Army, Mas set up meetings with numerous Government factions. His goal was to find a place that would offer a safe haven for him. Centauri Tyridius, Duceroy of the Trade Federation at the time, offered him exactly that. Mas joined the Trade Federation, and the Ministry of Defence under Centauri.
Using the friendships he had established in the Invisible Army, Mas encouraged his former pilots to join him in the Trade Federation, where many of them still work. Alan Arcane, Maslow Ti and Makos Brenem are some members who are still working with the Trade Federation.
Ministry of Defence
Mas quickly proved his talents and gave his best efforts into improving the Ministry of Defence. Duceroy Tyridius noticed his potential, and promoted him to Deputy Minister of Defence. Mas graciously accepted, and kept working hard to thank the Trade Federation for giving him refuge.
Minister of Defence
After a few months working for the Ministry, Centauri decided to completely accept the position of Duceroy. Until this moment he had been hovering over both Minister of Defence and Duceroy positions. Mas was promoted to Minister of Defence.
Mas is still in this position today.
