The E-5 Droid Blaster was a projectile weapon designed to be used by B-1 Battle Droids. It was made to be the perfect companion for the droids, and therefore was never meant to be incredibly effective. Slow-firing, inaccurate, and lacking a large firing range, the cost-effective, low-maintenance E-5 was built to be mass produced without costing its developers high amounts of credits, same as the robotic soldiers that used them.
