Lilith Delcroix (née Kaine), also known by her full name Countess Lilith Kaine-Natanaele of Vorsia, was born approximately in Year -8 Day 177 (23 years old) by the Combine Galactic Time. She is the current Director of Department of Recycling and sovereign of Vorsia Companion. She is also renowned artisanal starship designer with a reputation spanning the galaxy.

History

Early Years

Young Lilith.

Lilith's birth is as mysterious as her mother. Nobody knows who her father is or where and when she was born. Her mother Amelia Kaine abandoned baby Lilith at very early age and didn't share the information about the baby girl's birth with anyone. By the galactic standard it was Year -8 Day 177 when Amelia left the baby at Kaine Estate on Empress Teta, the day was used as Lilith's birthday. High Inquisitor and Rear Admiral of the Imperial Navy Herbert "Incubus" Kaine, Lilith’s uncle, decided to raise the girl and care for her but under strict rules and Lilith was expected to obey them from early age. It was at that time she began to develop the same xenophobia as her uncle possessed, she was taught to view aliens as lesser species.

Still just a young teenager, Lilith’s life received a blow that affected her forever. Her uncle was accused of treason against the Empire and decided to turn himself in to prove his loyalty which lead to his murder. Without the guiding hand to look over her, Lilith grew spoiled and indulged herself in night life of the city, spending credits and exploring her interest in other girls. Eventually she realized it wasn’t a good life to live and enlisted in University of Engineering. Unfortunately her spoiled personality made it hard to concentrate and so Lilith didn’t stay there long, instead she trained as pilot of civilian capital ships before enlisting in the Galactic Empire to follow her uncle’s footsteps.

Service in the Empire lasted only few months. Not long after finishing the Academy Lilith realized the Empire wasn’t the same as her uncle described it. Aliens were almost freely allowed to serve and the government didn’t seem to share values of the Dark Empire. Lilith’s career was followed by Sith Lord Kuat who enlisted her in the R&D Department where she worked directly for the Sith Lord. It wasn’t approved by office departments of the Empire and Lilith was soon demoted and allowed to be only R&D Liaison, which effectively shattered her faith in the Empire and the Sith. Since then Lilith cared less for her work and rather pursued relationships. Ultimately it led to turn of events which forced her out of the Empire.

At the time Lilith was in a long term relationship with a Dark Jedi woman, whom she followed to Maurari Force sect of the Black Sun trading syndicate. Being the only person not attuned to the Force changed her life, suddenly she had access to information and training most in the galaxy only hears rumours about. When Lilith proved her worth she was accepted into the Family by Vigo Amaranalah Jou, who became Lilith’s icon. Service in the Family wasn’t without its difficulties but Lilith embraced the core values of Family, Honour, and Profit. Unfortunately her relationship however didn't mean to have a happy end; the deception of the Dark Jedi woman had crushed Lilith and left her with more than physical scars.

Deceived into leaving the Family and follow her partner wasn’t taken well by Vigo Jou. Too late Lilith discovered the Dark Jedi’s treachery and as consequence she was held in prison for several days before being released to home-custody under direct supervision. It lasted for few weeks but Lilith was allowed to work directly for her Vigo she was happy to go through it and clear her name. Lilith hoped her life would continue to improve, but the time proved her hopes wrong. Vigo Jou stopped communicating over night and was gone from the galaxy, disheartened Lilith sought permission from the Dark Princes Orion to retire, which she was granted few weeks later.

Independent Enterprise

Using her amassed finances and connection Lilith bought control of a large moon in Neshig sector while she was still in the Family. It took time and effort to create a new form of government but eventually the massive population accepted her as the sole ruler. It began a new era for the moon, an era of development and prosperity for Lilith began a large scale operation to reconstruct all the major cities to improve the standards of living. The operation lasted for several years. During that time Lilith met Princess Jessica James of Hapes. Their friendship led to eventual invitation to join the House James where Lilith worked as Retainer for two years.

The time in House James was very rewarding and Lilith developed many skills when working on large industrial projects, ranging from production to planet development. After the two years of work, the Terephon system was vastly improved and House James fleet saw many new additions. In year 13 Lilith decided to use the experience to create her own company and formed Dark Skies Gearworks with one of her oldest friends. The business partnership lasted for several months till Lilith was able to afford buy control of the whole company. From that point Gearworks was faced with rapid expansion, signing Act of Vorsia with Trade Federation and later pursing diplomatic agreements with Avance Coalition. Dark Skies Gearworks lasted as an independent company for over a year.

Several months before closure of DSG, Lilith met Ankha Natanaele, diplomat and Senator from New Republic. The mutual attraction for each another developed into passionate relationship and on Lilith’s 23rd birthday, Ankha asked for her hand in marriage. Lilith was eager to accept and it seemed like her future would be happy. However the Force had different plans. It manifested itself inside of her, awakening Lilith’s connection to the Force. Not long after Ankha had a tragic accident and Lilith was left heartbroken. It was even more traumatic due to her inability to cope with the newfound sensitivity to the galaxy around her. Combined with the stress from work, it was simply too much and Lilith couldn’t continue with leading the company. DSG officially closed on Year 14 Day 282.

Trade Federation Career

Taking few weeks away from business and responsibilities helped Lilith to get her life back together. She slowly learned to cope with the emotional hole, mostly through alcohol. She remained in contact with Trade Federation and talks with Olwin Froon and Nohv Schiller developed into proposal to form Department of Recycling, since the Federation was till in need of recycling and preferred to deal with Lilith. The position meant less stress and more time to concentrate on recycling, so Lilith agreed and joined the Federation. Department of Recycling was officially revealed on Year 14 Day 311 and Lilith was appointed as the Director.

Alongside her job as Director, Lilith is also member of the Art and Library Team in Department of Culture.

Description and personality

Lilith is a very pale, small-sized Hapan woman with long black hair, often coloured fiery red. She was born with emerald green eyes but, the Dark Side of the Force caused them to turn amber; something she is quite fond of. Lilith is not very tall for a human and has a skinny but athletic shaped figure. At one point in her tragic life Lilith's whole right arm and part of her shoulder was replaced with cybernetics of metallic silver colour and engraved details. She rarely talks about the reasons behind it, but doesn't regret it; some could say she rather enjoys being cyborg. Lilith has a strange accent but isn't quite sure where she picked it up, one of her theories is that it comes from her Hapan heritage even if she can't speak the Hapan language.

In general Lilith has very laid back attitude and as strong supporter of freedom, rebellious in nature against authority. Which can make her seem uncaring, but if she believes in something or someone Lilith is very loyal as she prides herself on honour and honesty. Towards many she is cold and distant, many often described as rude or mean. Her attitude worsens towards those she considers dishonourable, but she often helps those that share her values. Lilith's personality changes rapidly whenever she is in love, in company of her girlfriend she can be very cheerful and playful. With friends and those she trusts her personality is also warm and open. When her position as Director requires it, Lilith can be very professional and serious, though in workplace she prefers friendly environment. Some of the traumatic events in Lilith’s life caused her to cope with alcohol, she drinks perhaps more often than she should.

Since young age Lilith practiced sword fighting skills, at first out of interest as martial arts appealed to her more than blasters. Which was influenced by the stories of the Sith and their duels. Much later during her time in Maurari and Black Sun Lilith trained more vigorously to advance her skills. In the years following her retirement Lilith kept on training, becoming exceptional swordfighter. Other combat orientated skills are lacking, interest in heavy weaponry made her only averagely accurate. Most of her life Lilith was mainly improving engineering skills to help her with work; such as management, capital ship piloting and repair. The slicing skills she gained as teenager helped her to be effective in crafting.
