Early Life

Takhisis was born on Mon Calamari itself, home planet of his race. Raised in an average family, Tak became salesman for a local vehicle retailer, having shown interest in both piloting them and their inside workings. His intelligence, optimism and perseverance became tools for him to grow a small sum of money for a project of his.

Takhisis bought a Y-TIE in very poor condition and started fixing it with the tools and parts he had access to. In the end, while it looked battered from the outside, the ship had a unique and sturdy engine system which would take quite a number of hits before failing. This was his first creative work with ships and he loved it! He started working more and more with ships, letting go of his job with vehicles. Takhisis rented a space at the starport for his own ships and to repair others' in the same odd fashion he used on his very first Y-TIE. His works became known both to people and ship retailers, changing his life-sustaining hobby to a real job.

Departure and Return to Mon Calamari

In the ten years the Mon Calamari worked at the starport, many people went by, some unnoticeable, some more important. Both types of people needed Tak's help from time to time, both were very satisfied, but only one person could convince Takhisis to leave his business and leave his native planet to work for him. That person was a human named Revon Valdez, head of a security company named Uzuvt Security Corporation.

Takhisis was given the chance to pilot ships for a job, scouting around, organizing escorts and such. He announced the good news to his family, but he obviously realized this wasn't good news for them to see Takhisis leave. After much discussions, tears, and goodbyes, Tak left Mon Calamari for his new job.

In this job, one had to be very patient, waiting for days without changing coordinates and keeping one's eyes peeled in hope of seeing something. These stressful waits were killing Takhisis, he couldn't do a thing, but still had to be on the edge at every moment. Some other missions had him moving around and scanning everything, which was a bit better, but not really rewarding. The only thing that kept Tak sane throughout this was the time spent in hyperspace travel. The blurry vision he had then in the cockpit viewport brought some peace to his mind, and invited to meditation, which he could do full time without trouble.

After a year of this work, he ended up thinking he'd better get back home for a while and he resigned. It was a joyful reunion when Takhisis came back to Mon Calamari, returning to his family, friends, and a capricious client base. A while became a year, then two... then six.

Perfection and Ambition

Having spent all these years making prime ships out of scavenged materials, Takhisis had become a master to what was becoming more and more of an art. No two ships were ever the same when they came out of Tak's shop, each job was original and the resulting ship was tougher, nicer and more efficient than it ever was. He used more and more the services of the local dump to scrounge parts, for example metamorphosing broken washing machines into plating for the control panel of a rusty Pleasure Yacht and keeping the motors to activate automatic doors.

He made his signature out of keeping bare the moving parts inside the ship, or covered by transparisteel, so the customers could see them all, and feel like they were in a living machine when they would activate any system. This also had the advantage for a mechanic that one could easily troubleshoot problems by spotting the broken or stuck part visually instead of through the millions of sterile error codes the central computer would give, making repairs easy even if all ship models were unique.

During all this time, the Mon Cal worked his free time at his drawing board, creating ships out of nowhere, inside out. Every time he finished a design, Takhisis thought of a new feature that could be added, and he created yet another ship, bigger, more perfect but... beyond his current infrastructural capabilities. To follow the course of his dream, Takhisis had to change the way he did things radically. He needed support from a bigger structure, parts that wouldn't be scavenged anymore, but made by the piece from prime material for their exact purpose.

He envisioned a whole space station all revolving around him and his team, where a design would get from computer drawing to tested prototype within only a few weeks. Every time he thought about this, a shiver of pleasure ran in his spine and pushed him to make the dream real.

The Plan

At the dump, Takhisis was often in competition with a GRZ-6B Wrecker for some parts, he remembered the tag on its side: "Confederate Recycling Company, Proud Member of the Trade Federation". Takhisis sent an application to CRC, now seeing his dream R&D space station with a Trade Federation tag on its side.

They'll never know what hit them! And they'll love it!

Rising Through The Ranks

Takhisis displayed great proficiency and was universally recognized as a helpful and bright individual. He joined the Confederate Recycling Company in year 10. Under the merger and reforms of Viceroy Jacob Jansen, he transferred to the Trade Federation's Ministry of the Interior, ultimately earning his own pilot's command in year 11. At the beginning of year 12 he was named Deputy Director of Baktoid Armour Workshop, and was named leader of the faction about a month later.

Union of Like Minds

Takhisis has been an active member of the Mon Calamari Society since its early beginning. Within the first discussions he had with Bink Kaarde, Tak knew he had found a like mind who wanted to design the most exceptional ship designs the galaxy had ever seen. Quickly, the Society joined more people with the same ambitions, which gave an inner power to Takhisis, knowing he was no more alone with his dream.

Present day

While Tak already has his plan laid out and in progress to realize his personal dream, which is never to be compromised, he heavily contributes to the Mon Calamari Society. He gives time when he can, but mainly provides financial, social and diplomatic support to it.
