As a production magnate, the Trade Federation and its nationalized companies hold several unique datacards. The Ministry of Production oversees production of all items in the Federation space, Baktoid Armour Workshop is the Department within the Ministry tasked with production of items. The produced items are either for members of the Federation or intended as stock for sale in the Department of Trade, making BAW the biggest items supplier inside Federation territory.

E-5 Droid Blaster

The E-5 Droid Blaster has been a staple in Trade Federation standard gear for many years. Developed during the Clone Wars to fill a gap in light duty hand held weaponry that would be effective against droid armies of the enemy, the E-5 took several years for Federation Research and Development Scientists to perfect. Early Models were much smaller, however due to the large firepower and early loss of many test subjects, a trendy Zeltron scientist thought the new bulbous appearance of the E-5 would make it a fashion accessory besides adding the extra radiation shielding so that the blaster's core no longer claimed the lives of its users.

Though newer blaster models have been able to achieve similar if not better firepower in smaller packages, the E-5 continues to be a staple, especially among the higher tiers of galactic galaxy society where it is seen more as a show piece to be proud of, and is often seen open holstered on the belts of many sentients during High Society parties in Tanaab.

Battle Armour

Battle armour has been around for centuries. Modern energy-dissipating suits have evolved from metal plates attached to a basic body glove and have seen countless upgrades and modifications throughout the years. Many forms of armour now use a quantum-durasteel alloy to provide better trauma protection over critical areas, while hight-tensile micro-fiber mesh protects extremities from cuts and ballistic penetration.

The drawback to such improvements is the increased weight, although lighter and more efficient modern materials go a long way to mitigate encumbrance. User mobility is decreased, but this is usually seen as a good trade for the extra protection provided. Additionally, no special training is required to use battle armor--a common limitation with more advanced powersuits. For this reason, battle armor is favored by mercenaries, security firms, and small armies who may not have the funds, time, or training to make use of more advanced models.

Although modern battle armour is widely employed throughout the galaxy, it does little to protect against extreme environmental hazards, such as the arctic climate of Hoth or the baking heat one would encounter on Tatooine. For these types of conditions, specially designed survival suits are still regularly employed.

Biological Sensor Pack

The Biological Sensor Pack (BSP) is the counterpart to the Energy Sensor Pack. Limits in technology at the time prohibited the creation of a combined, portable unit that could provide focused scanning capabilities for both biological and non-biological entities. Instead, each type of sensor unit was separated, reduced to the core components, and then readied for production as a portable unit.

The BSP uses a set of sophisticated sensors that detect the essential elements and chemicals present in most all life forms. Much like the Energy Sensor Pack, the sensors on the BSP are not inhibited by metal alloys. As such a focused scan on an entity will reveal all biological presences within.

Camouflage Tent

Camouflage Tents have always been developed for a sole purpose - to conceal the person within. Made from materials that are meant to ensure the concealment of the tent in the undergrowth of forests or jungles, it is a common misconception that it actually makes the user of the tent invisible.

Ceremonial Armour

Common throughout the galaxy wherever ceremony or ceremonial presence is needed with a touch of flare, Ceremonial Armour is a well known element employed by many military and non military entities alike to create a sense of cultural or social presence. While the garb does give one the appearance of importance it provides little protection in actual combat situations. It is because of this that Ceremonial Armour is usually reserved for what it is named after, ceremony.

Ceremonial Armour is usually made of lightweight textiles and possibly light armour padding. Because this armour must give the wearer the appearance of importance as well as provide a flexible frame to provide comfort during social occasions, it is usually encased in a thin shell that can be made of many different materials, usually metallic in origin in order to provide a sheen when polished. It is not uncommon in cultures around the galaxy to have people of importance wear this type of armour during social, political, or ceremonial purely for the status it usually conveys to others.

There are times when this armour is used in combat, while ill advised due to how little armour it actually provides its wearer, it can and usually is used by people or officers of importance on the battlefield. Such armour is noticeable and during the confusion of combat can provide troops a quick rally point for orders or other military affairs. The downside of wearing ceremonial armour is that the high visibility and limited protection of the armour can make the wearer more of a target than a rally point.

Energy Sensor Pack

The Energy Sensor Pack (ESP) is similar in design to those found on vehicles, starships, and stations. It was built to provide a portable, non-biological, focused scan capability when a mounted sensor suite was undesirable or otherwise unavailable. The ESP became an immediate success and fulfilled a variety of needs that ranged from military operations and starport customs, to research and survey teams.

In general the ESP functions through use of electromagnetic fields. An oscillator within the unit produces an alternating current which is then radiated by the antennas. The radiating waves are not inhibited by metal alloys. The reflected energy is then captured and the information deciphered by a computer. The resulting product can reveal a detailed analysis of any non-biological cargo held within an entity.

Security Control Panel

Permits the management of locking and unlocking doors en masse within an entity.

Mask

Available in a wide range of shapes and styles, which are directly related to the purpose for which they're worn, masks have been found in every culture across the entire galaxy.

Due to the ease with which they are constructed, masks are used in a number of different settings for various, functional purposes. The uses of these items range from keeping sand out of the wearer's mouth and eyes, to uses on the stage for performances, to concealing one's identity while committing crimes, which is the more common use for this item by those less-than-exemplary members of society.

The overall purpose of the mask is the same in most cases: to prevent all but the most sophisticated security devices from being able to detect the identity of the wearer. More often than not, this is achieved through the use of a lightweight helmet and thin, breathable face covering, though more elaborate face coverings have been constructed depending on the specific use for which they're intended.

Despite their fabulous ability of identity concealment, masks offer little to no protection against extreme temperatures or toxic fumes, and they are useless against blaster bolts. Anyone planning on visiting inhospitable environments or entering into combat situations should plan accordingly and wear the proper gear.

Riot Shield

Riot shields are lightweight protection devices deployed by security authorities and some military organizations. Riot shields are almost exclusively long enough to cover most of an average sized person; Baktoid Armour Workshop produces variety of sizes for non-human species. Riot shields are designed to be projectile resistant against low velocity slugthrowers and blaster ammunition, they are however less effective against heavy projectiles. They are generally intended to be used in riot control, to protect the user from shrapnel, thrown projectiles, and splash from various weapons such as firebombs. They can also be used as short-ranged melee weapons to push back rioters.

Riot shields are used in almost every part of the Federation space by local planet authorities. On open market, riot shield found popularity as hunting equipment and protection against bandits. Most riot shields are constructed from high-impact durasteel with transparent upper sections to enable the bearer to see incoming thrown objects, so the shield can quickly be positioned to deflect them away from the user's body.

Survival Pack

A disaster can arise at any time, be it sentient or naturally caused, and with no way to know what will confront you around the next corner, many overcome life-threatening situations with the aid of a fully-stocked survival pack. Lighter than a small backpack, the survival pack is designed to be compact and durable with enough capacity for storing a variety of essential items without impeding maneuverability.

A hybrid of a backpack and a rucksack, the survival pack is intended to be worn for extended periods with maximum comfort. Its padded external frame is supported by a harness system featuring adjustable, contoured shoulder straps that allow the pack the be fitted to most sentients. The pack's hip belt eliminates all unwanted movement and draws it closer to the back.

The survival pack's uses in a diverse range of applications have been promoted by its customizable functionality. While most often utilized as an emergency survival kit, the pack is also common among hikers and field-medics. Limited only by the items stocked within, many sentients find the survival pack to be the ultimate accessory to adversity.

Combat Armour

Combat armour is commonplace throughout the galaxy; it is regarded as a standard piece of equipment for mercenaries, soldiers, security officers and most other combat-oriented professions. Because of this, one can see it in virtually every city and space station in the known galaxy.

Though using specific armour for combat is an age-old idea, in recent centuries improvements and minor modifications have been made to the armour. These improvements have allowed modern combat armour to be lighter and more flexible as well as cheaper than their ancient counterparts; it can easily compete against some of the more modern classes of armour in terms of cost as well as quality and durability. These advantages are a few of the reasons that it's a favourite among civilians travelling to harsher systems and among those wanting to evade the law.

Handled Shield

Macro Binoculars

A pair of adjustable magnifying lenses set into a molded plasteel frame, macrobinoculars are cheap, durable, and most importantly, useful. The simple practicality of macrobinoculars suits the needs of anyone from avian-watchers scouting out rare species, to bounty hunters tracking a mark through harsh environments.

Portable Power Fission Generator

The portable power fission generator was designed with mobility and ease of use in mind. It has a distinct weight advantage over similar products and is small enough to be carried on a tool belt. Fission generators are also cheap and readily available, making them indispensable to tradesmen throughout the galaxy who use them to power tools, temporarily power small buildings where a reliable power source may not exist, or as a backup power supply in case of emergencies. In the hands of heavy weapon crews, fission generators can be used to power stand-alone turrets or gunnery stations, and they are essential when crafting new technologies like lightsabers.

Fission generators, however, are not devoid of drawbacks or danger. Being a nuclear process, fission produces radioactive waste which is difficult to dispose of properly. Although it takes less energy to split two atoms with fission than it does to fuse two atoms, the process is less stable and less efficient at harnessing useable energy. Furthermore, there is an increased risk of overloading a generator and causing it to explode if they are improperly maintained or used for extended periods of time. This, combined with growing fears of radiation poisoning and environmental contamination, has led watch-dog groups to lobby extensively against their use on many worlds throughout the galaxy.

Tent

The Tent is another term for “mobile home”, which is able to be packed-up and put into a backpack. Acting as a cover from most types of the basic undesired weather, the tent’s job is a simple one - to ensure the person or people inside are able to get some rest, without having to deal with the weather outside.

Belt

Every sentient at some point in time has had the pesky problem of their pants falling down when they least wanted it. The solution to this problem is this nifty item, known as a belt, which wraps around the wearer's waist. The use of a belt will keep the wearer's pants in place and a handy blaster near. Last but surely not least, it allows the owner to make a fashion statement at the nearest spaceport with the many colours its available in. Imagine, be the first in the next blaster battle with a hot pink belt or even finishing the look of a Sith outfit with a shiny new black belt; the possibilities are endless!

Crafting Kit

The crafting kit is a group of tools contained within a metallic container that acts as a small workbench and allows the user the ability to create small items, such as simple weapons and keycards. Due to its size, the kit is easily portable and is often seen being used by those without access to a full workshop where more complex items are manufactured. The kit is a favorite among various security firms and underground organizations that require quick and unnoticed production of various materials.

Safe

A staple for anyone who has something valuable to keep, the safe is a necessary safeguard against theft. With a thick durasteel case, it can protect credits and valuable gems from tampering, laser blast, and fire. Only the owner can access the contents by a single keycard, providing a high level of security. The large capacity makes it an excellent storage option for both corporation and civilian uses.

SWLTR Helmet

The SWLTR Helmet has been designed to work in conjunction with its counterpart, the SWLTR Suit. When worn together with the SWLTR suit, the helmet completes the seal for the environmental control system to be engaged. Whilst the SWLTR suit enables the wearer's body temperature to be regulated in sub-zero conditions, the SWLTR helmet has other operations to perform other than merely keeping their face covered from the extremes.

The visor for the SWLTR helmet is designed with a full faced wide angle view, allowing the wearer greater peripheral vision while out on maneuvers. With this unrestricted vision, the wearer has a greater awareness of their surroundings, and thus, a reduced the risk of potential ambush from their foes. The visor also includes thermal imagery technology, allowing the wearer to see alterations in temperature up to 20 meters away. This technology is very useful in arctic conditions, where temperature readings from nearby troops or creatures can be seen even through heavy blizzards or during night maneuvers. The thermal imagery system is not however foolproof and should not always be relied upon as thermal readings can be masked by alternative means, such as Camouflage Scout Armour.

The SWLTR Helmet also boasts an impressive communications system moulded into the helmet's internal casing. The system is able to pick up and transmit information in a wide radius, over a dual layer encryption network, making it near impossible for transmissions to be picked up and decoded. The advantages of this high level encryption system is that the user does not need to be concerned with alerting the enemy of their presence while out on a reconnaissance' mission.

SWLTR Suit

The SWLTR suit is, in essence, an environmental suit designed for use when in a snowy glacial terrain and will provide complete protection from the elements when worn in conjunction with the SWLTR Helmet. A combination of the two items allows the wearer to regulate their body temperature via a control panel located on the upper right shoulder. The wearer is able to then control heated pads that are installed inside the soft inner suit lining to reduce the risk of frost bite or even death in extreme temperatures.

The suit does have extra benefits other than merely giving the wearer the option to sit for long periods of time in a sub-zero temperature snowfield, while still keeping their body pleasantly warm. Thanks to the dual layer design of the suit, the SWLTR also boasts a tough outer hull over the vulnerable soft inner environmental suit, giving the wearer some useful armour protection. With the combination of being able to keep the wearer warm and protected, the SWLTR suit has found itself well suited for use during arctic warfare, or hunting arctic creatures like the D`oemir bear.

Tool Belt

A tool belt is a band of flexible material, usually leather, worn around the waist for the purpose of storing or securing tools. Due to the simplicity of its construction and modular design, the tool belt comes in many variations and configurations to suit the needs of professionals everywhere. Unlike other more cumbersome equipment storage containers, the tool belt ensures mobility and easy access to the most important tools of the wearer's trade. This allows the flow of work to progress more efficiently, as well as increase the productivity of a sentient being during a project.

Over the millennia, the general design of the tool belt has not changed. It still consists of multiple pouches, fasteners and hooks that allow for various types of equipment and tools to be securely attached. While the material chosen for their creation depends on the species and the resources that species has access to, it is fairly common for tool belts to be made out of leather, or hide, due to its durability and availability throughout the galaxy.

As technology has advanced and became more prevalent, metals have been introduced to reinforce the structure of the tool belt, and devices implemented to aid in the flow of movement while being worn. As it has been in the past, the tool belt will continue to be considered essential equipment for professionals of all walks of life, due to its usefulness and the ease with which it can be manufactured.
