History

Slavery and Escape to Freedom

Abromus was taught the bartender profession from a very young age. In his teenage years, he served as the bartender at Mr. X’s Place, a bar known for its notorious clientele that often included criminals and traders across the Galaxy. It is in this bar where he first met Alahav Andregar in Year 2.

Alahav Andregar, then an unknown trader, was delivering a shipment of Corellian spiced rum to the bar and others like it across the moon. After the deliveries were made, Alahav entered Mr. X’s Place to have a drink and meal before he departed the planet and returned to Corellia. Abromus served Alahav his meal and drinks, shortly before Abromus was allowed a break from his hard work. Sitting alone at the end of the bar enjoying an Ewok mead, Abromus felt someone watching him. He turned around to see Alahav looking at him. Alahav then beckoned Abromus over to join him.

They began a conversation about Abromus’ wishes to be free to choose his own destiny in the Galaxy, not to be ruled by slavery. Abromus wished for justice to be done to his slavers, and that the might of law and order be extended to the far reaches of the Galaxy. Alahav then noticed that Abromus was without a slave collar, which would prevent him from leaving a designated area. Abromus responded that there was no point, as he had nowhere to go if he did escape. Alahav then offered to take Abromus onto his ship to travel to Corellia and become a free Chiss under the protection of the Galactic Empire. Abromus was shocked. He surveyed his surroundings and realized that this was the only chance he would ever have to leave Nar Shaddaa and slavery forever. Abromus said yes, and Alahav handed him a blaster from under the table.

They stood up firing, as Abromus directed Alahav who to shoot and where to go for cover inside the bar. They bolted into the street, red blaster bolts flying all around them. Abromus’ right cheek was seared in the escape as they sprinted down alleyways to Alahav’s ship, landed on a freestanding docking platform.

They came to a ledge 20ft over the platform. Slavers trapped them at the ledge, closing in on all sides. Abromus and Alahav then made a life-threatening decision: they decided to jump. If they missed the platform, they would fall thousands of feet to the moon’s surface below. If they succeeded, they would be safe. Alahav jumped first. He landed safely on the platform. Abromus hesitated. During his hesitation, the platform below began to move. Abromus saw his opportunity slip away and made his leap of faith.

Abromus waited too long. His jump was miscalculated and he missed the platform by an inch, grabbing hold onto the ledge by his fingertips. Under blaster fire, Alahav pulled Abromus to safety and they ran aboard his ship. Alahav took off. After 19 years of slavery at the hands of one of the most notorious crime lords in the Galaxy, Abromus was now free.

Upon arrival to Corellia, Abromus changed his name and adopted Alahav’s surname, “Andregar.” Alahav now considers Abromus his adopted son, teaching him the ways of the Galaxy. Throughout his young freedom, Abromus held many different positions with many different factions and governments, including the Hapes Consortium, Rogue Squadron, and BlasTech Industries. Shortly after Abromus’ rescue, Alahav began work for the Trade Federation. As his father’s fame in the Ministry of State grew near the end of Year 9, Abromus wanted to follow Alahav’s footsteps in the Trade Federation.

Freedom and Chief Justice

Abromus joined the Trade Federation Year 12, Day 11 as a transport pilot. After much personal training by his father, Abromus had the opportunity to accomplish what he had always wanted to do in his life: uphold truth and justice. In Year 12, the Trade Federation was searching for a new Chief Justice and held a faction-wide selection process. After many weeks of deliberation, the Trade Federation Cabinet selected Abromus Andregar to lead the development of the Department of Justice. Though he had little judicial experience, Abromus was selected because of his personal drive and integrity, as well as his experiences as a common slave on the crime-ridden planet of Nar Shaddaa. One day, Abromus wishes to return to Nar Shaddaa and try his captors in a court of law for their crimes not only against their slaves but also against countless individuals in the Galaxy.

Present

Since his appointment as Chief Justice, Abromus passed several crucial laws in the development of a working judicial system in the Trade Federation. He worked as a transport pilot in the Department of Logistics and was an active writer on the Federation Ledger, the official newsletter of the Trade Federation.
