Dakin is a tall Verpine who very much played a formidable part in Operation Squash Bug Faith, and is still on Alissma leader Hal Breden's bounty list to this day. He did not say much, but his part in this crucial operation was enough to not warrant much speech. In more recent times though Dakin has attempted to dodge the DarkLight within him, by ignoring his past and becoming Deputy Director within the Trade Federation.
