The Viceroyal Palace is the permanent abode of the Trade Federation's leader, the Viceroy. Located in the Federation capital of Fosetti on Taanab, it serves as a symbol of the Federation's power and authority.<br /><br />The first Viceroyal Palaces were built on Neimoidia, and were carved out of dark stone and metal. These structures were used as status symbols by the Neimoidian leaders of the old Trade Federation. In the constant bickering for power between Neimoidian rivals in the Federation following the fall of the Old Republic, these palaces lost much of their significance. Each new Viceroy insisted on wasting the languishing Federation's scant resources on constructing a new palace for himself, lording it over his rivals only to be replaced in due course. With the complete collapse of the Federation into bankruptcy, all of these palaces were sold off at fire-sale prices. Read more.<br /><br />03-09-17</td>

It is understood that in 47 BBY, an unknown permutation in the hyperspace continuum of the Unknown Regions sprung, swallowing a Lictor class Dungeon ship and damaging the hull beyond repair. The ship’s wreck exited in the Glythe sector, where a Trade Federation Lucrehulk discovered all inmates and crew had disappeared. The Lucrehulk picked up another life form, unclassified by all life form scanners. Unknown in this universe, a small man-child bright red in color with nubs of horns and a forked tail and piercing yellow eyes was found. Logs recorded by the Lucrehulk’s crew stated that the strange man-child bore some resemblance to a Devaronian. Unnamed and unfathomable, he grew up in the restricted areas of a TF Biological Research Institute. He was a sheer curiosity to researchers, who tried to understand his anatomy but to no avail. Trade Federation Library Charter

Issued by the Office of the Chief Archivist

Mission Statement

The Trade Federation Library exists to preserve, codify, and disseminate the institutional memory, legal doctrine, operational knowledge, and cultural identity of the Trade Federation.

It serves as the definitive source of truth for all who seek to understand the Federation’s past, navigate its present, and shape its future. Through disciplined curation and archival integrity, the Library empowers clarity in governance, continuity in command, and excellence in execution across all levels of the Federation.

Guiding Philosophy

The Library is not a news feed,
Nor propaganda,
But the canon of the Trade Federation.
It speaks to the memory,
Not the moment.
It moves at the pace of consequence,
Not the speed of chatter.
It is written not for today’s officers,
But for those who will stand where they once stood,
Long after they are gone.

Strategic Goals

 • Record and maintain the official chronicle of the Trade Federation’s founding, evolution, and defining historical events.

Enable Institutional Continuity

 • Provide enduring documentation of the Federation’s internal charters, ranks, and customs.
 • Serve as the fallback reference during leadership transitions or crises to maintain strategic alignment and organization memory.
 • Act as a bulwark against internal fragmentation or historical revisionism.

 • Capture and propagate the symbols, language, customs, and values that define the Federation’s identity.
 • Document ceremonies, traditions, and internal jargon that build esprit de corps and factional cohesion.
 • Celebrate key achievements and recognize distinguished service through curated hall-of-fame and in-memoriam archives.

Ensure Archival Integrity

 • Adhere to rigorous standards of factual accuracy, citation, and neutrality in all documentation.
 • Archive deprecated materials with clear historical context and tagging.
 • Maintain a living changelog to track all updates and revisions transparently.
