The Dogs of Riga, First Fleet Obroa Task Group
Sel Duo wasn’t famous by any stretch of the imagination, but his name was a favorable one in many ports across the galaxy. He was a mariner of great skill and wit, though perhaps it was his companion that brought him the affections of so many. Rarely was Sel ever seen without the shadow of Riga, his trustworthy hound, following close behind him. To this day, no one knows what kind of dog Riga was, but all agree that he was loyal and true. Never could you find a better pair. The bond between Sel and Riga was as deep as the innate ties between family and the two shared many adventures together throughout their lives.
Then the day came when Riga would prove his loyalty to his greatest friend and ally. While on a routine mission, Sel and his crew were attacked by a fleet of pirates. Outnumbered and out gunned, the battle was lost before it had even begun. It was then, amidst the smoke and fire, through tumultuous blasts and blaring sirens, that Riga somehow slipped through the chaos and padded into an escape pod. No one knows how it happened, but somehow the noble hound managed to fire his pod. Sel had lost track of his companion in the firefight, but looked out at just the right moment to lock eyes with his greatest friend as he drifted away and collided directly into the rear thruster of the pirate’s main freighter. The explosion that followed ignited the entire pirate fleet and saved the lives of Sel and his crew, but it was dull and muted when compared to the burning ache in Sel’s heart as he fully realized the sacrifice his loyal Riga had made.
It is this story of Sel Dou and his hound named Riga that has captured the hearts of so many over the years, inspiring a tradition for mariners to wear on their person a pendant of a dog or bring their own loyal friend with them to give them luck on their adventures. The Dogs of Riga adhere to this tradition, and are known as the loyal soldiers who follow and honor the same self-sacrificing mentality as Riga to protect others.
1Tuk'ata Squadron
The 113th is a hold over squadron from the Avance Coalition. Originally a heavy fighter squadron under the Jensaarai, their founding date coincides with that of the Jen, making it one of the security groups original fighter units. Drawing their name from the ancient Sith hound, the 113th operate with the same mentality as their namesake, relentlessly defending and protecting the Coalition. Comprised entirely of Y-Wing BTL-S3 the Hounds specialize in engaging enemy capital ships with their heavy army and armor. The 113th were tasked with regular patrols of Avance's most southern regions operating out of the Bakura sector while making the occasional foray into Endor to cover lax patrols by the ASF. Transfer into the 113th is rare and often reserved for former Avance members, as the mentality needed to fly with the Hounds is one of independence and a willingness to skirt the rules. At present Tuk'ata squadron is assigned to the TFN Thunderstone a Victory Star Destroyer I under the command of Commodore Semper, who is also the Squadron's flight leader.

Notable Events
Defense of Timora
In Year 12 during the summer months of Timora's orbit, an unknown Mandalorian faction attacked the fortress of Clan Ky'bris. A Lictor Class Dungeon with several squadrons of R-41 Starchasers besieged the fortress from orbit raining down assault droids from the planets orbit and pinning friendly clan forces in a fight for their lives. Dispatching from Bakura, the 113th were the first and only Avance force to make it to Timora in time to offer assistance. Severely outnumbered and out gunned the 113th made a valiant effort in the defense of Timora. Loosing more than half of their ships the 113th refused to retreat until ground forces on Timora had secured their victory, causing a panic in the enemy and subsequent retreat from Avance space.
Jandur
During Operation Deep Helm, the 113th distinguished themselves as a picket unit, preventing the further entrance of Bothan ships onto Jandur after the initial invasion. All the while working with local privateer and volunteer ships to transmit up to date information on enemy movement within the system. Even after the majority of Avance forces withdrew, the 113th stayed on to ensure the protection and safety of the people of Jandur.
Hunters of the Night
Established in late Year 15, Trade Federation Navy Fighter Squadron 171 (TFN-FS171) was a training squadron for the Trade Federation Navy. As a training unit, TFN-FS171 was not expected to see any actual combat. However, while on a hyperspace navigational exercise in the Asrat sector, TFN Haven, home to the 171st, stumbled across a pirate group interdicting a merchant convoy. With no other Federation forces in the area, flight control ordered the 171st to engage the hostile ships. After an intense dogfight, the 171st were victorious having suffered only minor damage.
The 171st squadron set the frigate record for the fastest targeted strike on an enemy fortified station. During final examinations, the training squadrons aboard TFN Haven were tasked with planning and executing a strike against a fortified station. The 171st planned their strike with ingenuity; attacking from darkness, they struck the station's power grid eliminating its point defenses and allowing Three Flight to land in the station's hangar. While inside, the four pilots planted charges and sliced information form the station's system while the rest of the squadron fought off planetary fighters sent to defend the station. After the charges were planted, Three Flight re-entered the dog fight and helped the squadron carve their way back to TFN Haven and safety.

Traditions
Upon graduation from training, each member was given their wings to signify their flight status. The wings were a small, silver pin in the shape of two outstretched wings engraved with the unit's number and motto. After the ceremony, the pins were snapped in half and exchanged with the pilot's wingman. Tradition stated that it was bad luck for the two pieces to come in contact again, and they should only be reunited at the pilot's funeral.
Each member of the unit was given a challenge coin, or a special metal chit embossed with the unit seal on one side and a Scarab fighter and the unit motto on the other side. These coins were clinked against a glass, or slammed down on a table to issue a challenge. Any pilot who did not have their coin during a challenge would be forced to buy the next round of drinks for the unit. If all pilots had their coin, the challenger was forced to purchase the round.
Akk Eyes Squadron
The 9th Recon Squadron is relatively new in formation, but composed of well trained and seasoned pilots. Transferring over from the Department of Logistics, Areagla Loomis brought some of her team members with her. Not trained specifically for combat, but naturally equipped with skills of stealth and perception, specializing in recon was an obvious choice. The 9's are unique in that the squadron is composed entirely non-humanoid races of the cuddly persuasion. This is to the advantage of the squadron as all the pilots have innate skills and heightened senses that amplify their ability to gather information.

The purpose of the hunt is to hone the team's survival skills as well as build a stronger bond between members. Large game is the focus of the hunt, the more dangerous and challenging the better. Any trophies gathered during this tradition are taken back to the Akk Eye's barracks on Obroa Skai and displayed in their common area.

Location: Nebulon-B Frigate TFDM Dark Transfer
The Nebulon-B Frigate Dark Transfer houses the 1st combat medical flight unit. Named after the Dark side healing ability used by their Commander. The Dark Transfer plays the role of not only birth, to the CMF1 but also that of mobile hospital to soldiers who are more seriously wounded. The medical personnel of the Dark Transfer are comprised of some of the Federations best trauma surgeons as well as prosthetic experts. Craft: Sprint-Class Rescue Craft-Combat Variant
'While similar to the standard sprint-class rescue craft, the combat variant as Con has dubbed it, adds a port and starboard door gunner. Operating in groups of three, CMF1 with their combat variant sprints land two craft at a time while the third always stays on over watch. Door gunners at the ready to provide suppressing fire for the medics below.
Motto: Kots WonKut Itsukut Châts Asha - Break Ones Chains to Gain Victory
Derived from the ancient Sith creed. The medics of the CMF1 often quote their motto to injured soldiers to urge them on. To forget their pain and to continue in the fight until victory is theirs.
Nicknames: Ninûshwodzakut - Knotters of Entrails, CMF1, 1st CMF
With the majority of the flights members being from House Arkoh, a nickname in the ancient Sith tongue seemed only appropriate. While an ancient title for alchemists, the literal translation was deemed as appropriate for a medical flight. Being nearly unpronounceable by the common citizen, many simply refer to them by their flight name CMF1.
