Lekua V is encompassed by a wide girdle of water on the equator, which is its most distinctive feature. These waters vary from friendly streams to some parts where the oceans reach an enormous depth. The tremendoes pressure at these depths makes it virtually impossible to reach the oceanfloor, which contributes to a legend of a giant beast living here and devouring everything that comes near.
Large parts of this planet are covered with dense forests. The typical vegetation with very thick undergrowth holds a wide range of all kinds of creatures. Due to the difficult accessability of these woods various species living here can be found in their most original state, unaffected by external influences. The climate is very stable, with no extremes, except for the two polarcaps where blizzards are known to occur. These snowstorms are very treacherous, coming and going with no apparent warning. The open spaces on this planet are covered with long grasses, making it a perfect hunting ground for predatory animals and an even perfect hideout for their prey. Wildlife spotters have seen hunts that lasted for days, with predator and prey playing a deadly game of hide and seek in the outstretched fields.
