Younger Years
If one were to dive into the centuries of family records, one will not find the name Kalrade within any book or annals. The name was created during the younger years of Mr. Kalrade, and the story has been taken down by several biographers.
During the Great Hyperspace War, the family of Ithan was one of the many thousands of families to contribute their whole wealth and might to fighting off the Rebel invaders. During the battle at their home planet of Shawken, Quard Ithan and his wife, Yavanna gave birth to a small boy in the frightening chaos that was occurring around them. As Mr. Ithan was a businessman and quite wealthy, he thought it wise to name the boy a new family name to keep him safe. Thus, he named him after his grandfather, Kalrade Ithan, and left the boy to a group of underground rebels that inhabited the Shawken Spire’s abandoned foundations.
Tanez Kalrade, Ithan by blood, grew up without the reaches of the New Republic ever finding him or influencing. He did not see the light of the Shawken sun until he was 14 years old, when the spire finally collapsed due to disrepair. He sought out his father and mother, and found their story.
Quard and Yavanna, after having their son, were flushed out of Shawken, but survived with nothing but the clothes on their back and a single badly damaged Bulk Freighter to their name. In the 14 years since then, Quard had begun not one but two companies, Centarra Mining and Centarra Manufacturing, both of which had become extremely successful and were servicing thousands of facilities and factories throughout the eastern core areas. However, a rogue assassin named Jorgamugand Gand had gained access by deception to the inner workings of the corporation, and had killed Quard and his wife while they vacationed on a nearby station.
Imperial Career
Vowing to avenge his parent’s death, Tanez joined the only military he knew that he could get a crack at the murderer of his parents, the Galactic Empire. Not two months into his military career, Tanez knew that military was not the path that was destined for his life. Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Governor, Tanez joined the planetary construction team and began construction on 5 different planets’ massive development. Through his time in the planetary team, he was promoted through the ranks to Ambassador, and eventually became the go-to man for planetary development within the entire Empire.
Shortly thereafter, Galactic Empire and New Imperial Order merged into the Galactic Empire, and thus created a unified government larger than any other within the galaxy. With this merger, the creation of the branch Ministry of Industry was created, which encompassed all naturalized factions and production within one branch. The newly created division needed a Director, and Tanez was asked to be the Director of Production for the entire Imperial production system. Tanez excelled at this position, creating policies and directives in order to create the most efficient and self-reliant processes as could be created.
During the time as the Director of Industry, Mr. Kalrade was a key player in the acquisition of the sector of Dolomar. This acquisition was highly disputed, as much of the resident population was against Imperial rule. Thus, the Imperial High Council (IHC) appointed Tanez to the position of Moff of the Dolomar Sector in addition to his duties as Director of Industry. Throughout this time, Tanez built friendships and relationships with a number of surrounding governments and leaders, most notably Trade Federation, Hapes, and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Tanez created the Dolomar Sector Authority, a well-oiled and efficient band of workers and leaders that created Dolomar infrastructure second to none. Quickly, Dolomar exceeded expectations and rose above the status even of Coruscant itself.
Seeing the development and the leadership of Mr. Kalrade and his team at DSA, IHC and thus Imperial Inner Circle (IIC) thus appointed Mr. Kalrade, instead of his current status as Moff of Dolomar and Director of Industry, to a new position instead, that of High Moff. The High Moff was the branch leader for the expansive and integral branch of Regional Government. As High Moff, Tanez was appointed to be the moff of Coruscant sector, thus taking over the Imperial capital, its infrastructure and its security. During his time as High Moff, Kalrade spent much time working with redtape, policies, directives, and overall the paperwork of the entire Empire’s development. He quickly became the go-to man for the entire Empire, and was involved in almost every aspect of the Empire’s defense, planning, and development.
A New Direction..1st Attempt
Over the course of 10 years of spending time as High Moff, Tanez finally realized that his life wasn’t what he wanted. He had no wife, he wasn’t having fun in his career, and there was no trading involved. Trading was a hobby when Tanez was in his teen years, and Tanez had greatly enjoyed the bantering of prices, making profits, packaging and bundling of sets, and selling to all kinds of people. Due to his time within the Empire, he was not allowed to trade with anyone ‘enemy’ to the Empire, so his shops had shut down ever since he joined.
After he starting wooing a woman he met back in his planetary development years, he realized that it was time for something new, and the possibility of a family made that ever so clear. Thus, he submitted his 2 week notice, resignation, and then, out of nowhere, proposed to the woman, Arwen Undomiel.
Searching for a new career path, Tanez thought back to his trading years. Could this be something that he could use to start a new career path? After marrying Arwen on a short vacation to the land of his father, Quard, he decided that very day to embark on a new career, that of production. During his planning during their honeymoon, Arwen stumbled upon an abandoned bulk freighter on the moon of Shawken Companion. Inside this ship was a keycard and datapad, hidden within a secret door in the cockpit. Upon activating the datapad to see whose ship it was, Tanez was extremely shocked to see a hologram of his father bequeathing this ship, Innovo Cito, and the entire moon to his son, should it ever be found.
Tanez and his wife Arwen, took the news as an opportunity to start their business. Together with the information contained on the datapad about his father’s corporations, Tanez decided that the new company should keep the name “Centarra” to honor his father.
Joining the group of Galactic Commerce Collective as a subsidiary, they started Centarra Unlimited on the planet of Shawken Companion in Year 13. Production went well, and the sales exploded, creating great connections and resources for the corporation.
A New Direction...Again
Unfortunately, Tanez found that the company was not where he wanted to be, and that production wasn’t what destiny had for him. After consulting with his production supervisors, Tanez sold the company to the Galactic Commerce Collective, and sought a new place to pursue a career.
After weeks of looking, it so happened that a Galactic News Service message came on the air to say that the Trade Federation had declared neutrality in the galactic war, and was seeking to become an “Empire of Trade” instead of a military might by their previous participation in the Imperial Union. Tanez took this to mean destiny had shown him his future path. Trading was his hobby again, but this could be a career if developed with the Trade Federation if he played his cards right.
Trade Federation Career
Tanez contacted Viceroy Jacob Jansen and Duceroy Olwin Froon, and let them know he was interested in helping the Trade Federation with not only the areas of Trade, but offered his well-known knowledge about efficiency and development to whatever areas they needed. He joined the Trade Federation on Year 13, Day 319. His career with the Trade Federation is in development still, but Tanez still hopes that trading will become his career long-term. Tanez resigned from the Department of Trade and Trade Federation on Y15 D246. **Rejoined TF needs update**

BFF-1 “Bulk Freighter” “Innovo Cito”
Tanez has always treasured the one ship that his father left him, and named as “a new beginning” in his native language.
RZ-1 A-Wing Interceptor “Celerem Navis”
Named directly from the native “speedy ship”, this is possibly a tie for Tanez’s favorite ship, as it’s a speedy fighter that Tanez likes to use to visit his wife and cities at Shawken Companion
Tabder-class Heavy Hauler “Eisenhower”
Named after the legendary leader Eisenhower, this is a remnant of the fleet of Centarra Unlimited, and is used for the Kalrade’s personal projects throughout the galaxy.
Sentinel-class Landing Craft “Admonitio”
Named as “rememberance” in his native language, Tanez acquired this ship as a reminder of his many years of service to the Galactic Empire. (That and they just are cool).
Bayonet-class Light Cruiser “Redoubt”
This ship was his father’s, but had been sold early in the Centarra years. Tanez spent much time finding the ship from what info existed on the found datapad, and he finally acquired it with high expense. After repairing it, and repainting his father’s colors on it and fitting it with the highest level of elegance, it is now his flagship, and often is used for Arwen’s primary residence.
Sprint-class Rescue Craft “Speedy Gonzolez”
Named after the crewman that once saved his life, this ship, usually housed within the Redoubt, houses all of the Kalrade’s medical equipment should they ever find themselves in need of it.
