Synopsis

House Systkin is a noble and honourable institution that was built for individuals who strive towards learning more about trading, investment, profit and mentoring. It is a House that welcomes all who wish to contribute positively to the overall welfare of the family. Members are respectful of the goals and opinions of others, but also offer advice they truly have faith in and provide constructive criticism to help the House grow.

History

House Systkin was founded in more recent years by a diverse group of individuals with a wealth of knowledge, experience and demonstrated leadership. From the start, its founders intended to create an inclusive environment where anyone with a vested interest in the House could join and contribute to the community.

Under the leadership of Tanez Kalrade, the original family founders came together and used their collective experience to develop an establishment they could all find pride in.

The original family founders included:

  • Tanez Kalrade
  • Otto Kipler
  • Shaidar Haran
  • Ted Winner
  • Flint Talzo

In an often harsh and busy world, the founders of Systkin worked to provide a home to members looking for peace, harmony and a sense of belonging. Although the founders spent a considerable amount of time constructing new ways to make the House a profitable success, their coordinated focus on family never faltered.

The Embassy

Systkin Embassy

The Systkin embassy was built above a city in Kuna’s Eye, far above any noise or disruption. Visitors who wandered its halls often compared it to the peace that might be found in the eye of a storm. To this day, the immaculately maintained grounds provide a serene environment in which members can meet to discuss family affairs.

The mansion is spotless, and the flowing water and waterfalls nearby are often enjoyed by native wildlife and visitors alike. Within the embassy grounds sits a trio of handsomely designed buildings that seem to blend into the atmosphere perfectly. Each has its own use, but each complements the other.

House Traits

Members of House Systkin exhibit conduct congruent to that of the following house traits:

  • Discipline: Live life through knowledge and discipline of the mind and body, not acting rashly at unforeseen difficulties or issues; find the answer calmly and professionally.
  • Hospitality: Be generous with camaraderie, criticism, commiseration, encouragement, fellowship, and fraternity.
  • Self-Reliance: Learn to be self-reliant by asking others for advice. Offer it when asked for and accept it when it is freely offered.
  • Industriousness: Finding a way to make it happen.
  • Perseverance: Complete the job as assigned or taken on with valor and good attitude; press on through difficult times or issues and show what teamwork can do.
  • Courage: Do not shy away from any obstacle or enemy. Outsmart by teamwork or knowledge.
  • Truth: Fail not your brothers and sisters; be truthful at all times, even if painful.
  • Honor: Strive to remain courteous, friendly, kind, loyal, truthful and trustworthy in all aspects of our lives, both personal and professional.
  • Fidelity: Be loyal to those who are loyal to you, and the House above all else.

Structure / Organization

Although House Systkin employs a system of ranks, little emphasis is placed on hierarchical differences. Given that the foundation of Systkin is family, ranks were established more to provide structure than to give any one member overwhelming judgement over another.

House Ranks

House ranks, as approved by the original founders, include:

  • Konungr – Leader
  • Sturaesman – Honorary Title for those proven to have helped the House in ways beyond required
  • Hersir – Proven capable of leadership, leaders of the House
  • Thegn – Rank and office, officer or captain
  • Drengr – Backbone of the skilled workers
  • Fri-Hals – Member with minimum skill assessment, but a good worker
  • Laerlingur – New member, probationary rank

Voting

House Systkin makes its decisions based on a system of votes. The thoughts and opinions of each house member are considered with utmost sincerity before a motion is carried.
