The life of Jack Hildor
Early days
Jack was born on the capital planet, Hapes Prime, of the Hapes Consortium. His parents were Davis and Samantha Hildor both of whom worked for the Hapan Government. From the age of three he was sent to an excellent school. At first it was All Souls, an excellent pre-school run by the Order of Kampar. Unfortunately after this early schooling his parents contracted pancreatic cancer and died within six months. Then, miraculously, he was taken in by one of his parents' friends, Galindas Vice-President Corey Kylani. Corey treated Jack as his own and sent him to the Hapes Private Institution For Boys. This education allowed him to obtain a perfect 2400 on the GSATs (Galactic Scholastic Assessment Test). This score, combined with his perfect school records ensured him a place in the next group of Hapan Government interns. However, Jack did not desire a life in the government of the Hapes Consortium. So, instead he used his savings to purchase a ticket to the centrality sector where he came in contact with a Trade Federation recruiter, Tarc Drathul. The Federation's offer sounded exciting and fair so Jack signed on as a recruit in the Ministry of Defense.
Ministry of Defense
Jack was initially assigned to the 1st Fleet, also known as the Vinsoth Fleet. During this time, his commanding officer was Sol Keoma. However, within the month, the fleet underwent a structural change with Sol being promoted to Fleet Admiral and his deputy, Randy Nightwalker taking over as Vinsoth CO. Randy turned out to be a demanding, but fair boss and Jack learned a great amount under him. For the next four months Jack worked hard, trying to serve the Trade Federation to the best of his ability. His hard work paid off, for in the fifth month, the Ministry underwent another structural change in which the Fleet was reorganized into sub-fleets and task forces. Jack was given command of the Vinsoth 1st Task Force and promoted to the rank of C-3 Prefect. Jack's boss, Randy Nightwalker was promoted to Fleet Admiral, and his deputy, Legate Jack Sparrowe, became Jack's new boss.
It was during this time that Jack really flourished. He was awarded a 1st Fleet Veteran's medal for continued performance. He took part in the first ever joint Galactic Empire/Trade Federation military exercise. He commanded the Trade Federation forces in the Empress Teta system during the exercise. He returned home victorious, having caught Fleet Admiral Nightwalker who was posing as an intruder. But then, his life changed. On his ship's conversion from hyperspace, one of its engines exploded and Jack was knocked unconscious. When he woke up, it was in the MedTech Industries' experimental ward. Jack was informed that a metal bolt had entered his head and lodged in his brain. He was told that only experimental surgery had saved his life, but that due to the placement of the bolt he would no longer be able to serve on active duty with the Ministry of Defense. Jack was crushed, his career was seemingly at its end, but then a silver lining presented itself.
Department of Culture
Viceroy Jacob Jansen had recently made a faction-wide announcement that the previous Director of Culture had been dismissed due to a lack of activity and that the spot was now open. Figuring he had nothing to lose, Jack applied for the position. Five days later it was official, Jack was the new (Acting) Director of Culture. Although only holding the rank of Deputy-Director, he had all the responsibilities and privileges of a full director. One of Jack's first tasks was to fill his department as it had been completely purged in times previous. Jack's first move was to hire Director of Logistics Nohv Schiller as a consultant. He then set about hiring writers. Jack hired Alex Track, Dominic Masters, Ashley Perkins, and Tal Ercrow. Together, they created the first ever CIS newsletter, the Confederate Ledger. But once again, disaster struck. When walking home to his Forsetti brownstone in a heavy rain one night, Jack slipped and slammed his head on the ground. When he awoke, it was once again in the MedTech Industries experimental ward. Jack was greeted personally by MTI CEO Toran Slisik who in jovial mood told him that by pure chance, his fall had moved the bolt in his brain to the side. Due to that movement, doctors had been able to remove the bolt, releasing the pressure on his brain and releasing the restrictions on his movement. However, when Jack looked at his chronograph, he was stunned. Two whole months had passed since his accident. Jack checked in on the holonet and found that his Chief Editor, Dominic Masters, had been appointed Director in his absence. Broken yet again, Jack went job-hunting.
Back to the Ministry of Defense
Jack was contacted by his old friend, former Commander of the Army and now Deputy-Minister of Defense, Kage Renbukai. It appeared that Kage was having an issue with a lack of qualified commanders. Kage offered Jack the position of Centrality Sector Fleet Commander, and Jack instantly accepted. Jack's first three months in command were relatively smooth and he now looks forward to continuing his work for the Ministry of Defense.
Present Day
Currently Jack Holds the rank of HC-1 Imperator, and commands all Trade Federation ground and space forces within the Glythe Sector.
